Sophia is the newest addition to the Upside Pilates team, and you may have already seen her in class. Her love of Pilates grew from a natural curiosity about movement and how the body feels and functions, inspiring her to deepen her training and understanding.
She has recently completed the STOTT Pilates Essential and Intermediate Reformer courses and is currently completing her Master’s degree at the University of Otago. Sophia brings a calm, relaxed presence to the studio, offering classes that are enjoyable, controlled, and thoughtfully challenging — with a strong focus on moving well and feeling good.
With a background in dance and a love of horses, Sophia’s connection to movement extends well beyond the studio and gently informs her teaching style.
